Seren Delivers a range of lights as part of a stunning Starbucks Flagship.
We were tasked with delivering the lighting solution for this flagship project. Drawing on our previous experience with this client, we had a clear understanding of what was expected from us as a lighting manufacturer and supplier. From the early stages, we worked closely with the designers and consultants to interpret the design intent and develop bespoke luminaires tailored to the project.The lighting solution for this project featured a range of built-to-order luminaires assembled in our factory, along with custom feature lights developed specifically to realise the designer’s vision and intent. Projects like this are always a pleasure to work on—striking a balance between the creative imagination and the practical constraints of physics is both challenging and rewarding.
Lighting a high-traffic flagship location for this client offers the opportunity to create a visually inspiring environment, but it is essential to remember that lighting also serves a functional purpose. Our primary objective was to illuminate the two-storey site to meet the customer’s international brand standards and to comply with all relevant regulations. To achieve this, we produced a detailed lighting calculation and report to confirm that our proposed solution met all requirements, including the important emergency lighting provision.
In addition to supplying our own products, the project team relied on us to source and manage the import of decorative lighting fixtures from Europe. We coordinated deliveries to align precisely with the site schedule. As with many retail projects, both space and timing were critical. We implemented multiple phased product drops, with each item clearly labelled and referenced to drawings to ensure a smooth and efficient on-site installation.Delivering the bespoke lighting to site was a team effort, requiring close coordination with both the installers and the client’s build team. With limited site access and a tight schedule, products were delivered and installed on the same day to prevent any damage while construction works continued.
